Our fall tours are run from September through October, and spring tours are run from May through June each school year. Based on the fruit in season, you can expect the following curriculum-focused activities.
Students learn about an apple's life cycle and the proper picking technique. Each teacher will receive a bag of apples picked by the class.
Students learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin. The class receives a pumpkin to take back to the school. Every child receives a mini pumpkin.
Students learn what a busy time the Spring is for the farm, and help Farmer Joe with the spring planting. They will learn about the life cycle of strawberries. Every student takes home their own planted seed or strawberries when in season.
